You can read about Revolut personal loans in the UK and still have no loan option in your app. Start with the account you already use. Look for the feature there, through the app you normally open, before gathering paperwork or planning to spend the money.
If an option appears, give yourself time to read it. A short note with the amount you need, what it is for and the most you can repay in a difficult month will make the offer easier to assess. You can stop after any of these checks.
See which step is actually available
Revolut’s UK help page describes unsecured personal loans from £2,000 to £25,000 over one to five years and says availability can vary during rollout. Its separate help page describes a soft launch. Those are provider descriptions, checked on 5 November 2026. They do not mean everyone has the feature or will be offered those amounts.
Use a few words to describe what you see: no option, invitation to check eligibility, or a personalised illustration. If you cannot find the option, use official help if you need to ask about availability. Do not treat a missing screen as a credit refusal or rely on a message that asks you to pay to unlock an offer.
Revolut distinguishes a soft eligibility search from the hard credit search when you submit a full application. Read the prompt you are about to confirm. Save the illustration and check whether it is still valid before taking the next step. Passing the first check does not confirm that the loan has been agreed.
Put the amount and the total on the same page
Copy the amount you would receive, the annual percentage rate, each payment amount, number of payments and total amount payable. Note when the first payment would leave your account. If the quote lists a separate charge or an adjustment, keep it on its own line and ask how it is collected.
Here is a made-up comparison. Suppose the same £3,000 could be repaid in 24 monthly payments of £145 or 36 monthly payments of £109. With no other fees in this example, the first schedule totals £3,480 and the second £3,924. The second frees £36 in a normal month but costs £444 more overall. Neither is a Revolut quote.
Try the actual payment in a month when income is lower or an annual bill is due. Keep rent, food, utilities and travel to work in that calculation. If the payment only fits a month with unusually high income, write down the gap. You can choose a smaller expense, wait or ask for free debt advice if the borrowing is meant to cover bills that already do not fit.
Keep a consolidation decision separate
If you intend to clear another debt, ask the old lender for the amount needed to settle it and the date through which that figure applies. Compare it with the amount you would actually receive. Check whether you still need to make a payment while the old account is being settled.
Give any card you clear a plan of its own. If new spending will go on it, include that in your budget. Compare keeping the existing repayment plan with replacing it, using the actual remaining debt and payment dates. A smaller monthly bill can leave you paying for longer.
Use the official document request if one arrives
Revolut says it may request supporting income evidence when it cannot verify income automatically, and lists different records for employed, self-employed and retired applicants. Use the request in your account to confirm which documents and dates apply. Send documents only through the provider’s verified process.
Keep a brief list of what you sent and when. If a figure looks different from your own records, ask the provider which period or amount it needs. If it is difficult to find a document, start with that one question rather than starting another application.
Choose what to do before confirming
Save a dated comparison of the offer and your current plan. Include the amount needed, the monthly payment you can repeat, the total cost and the first collection date. If you cannot fill in a line, ask about it before making a commitment. Our guides below explain APR and the difference between an eligibility check and approval.
If there is no option in the app today, carry on with the budget you already have. If there is an offer, check one thing first: whether the payment fits your weaker month after essentials. From there, compare the total or stop. You do not need to submit a full application to make either decision.
From comparison to calculation
Check the terms in the offer you actually receive.
Credit Over Debt’s Offer X-Ray compares the amount financed, fees, payment schedule and modeled cost using the figures you enter.
